JOB PURPOSE:

Crew Leader is the person responsible in managing the team on the jobsite. He supervises crew members and ensures that job instructions are delivered with outstanding quality. A crew leader is the first in line of management for the crew members and is the first in line to address customer complaints.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Represents the company in a professional manner while ensuring a positive customer experience
  • Supervising, instructing crew members with the proper handling, packing, wrapping, inventory, moving and safe transport of the goods
  • Training crew members with the packing & loading
  • Prepares the inventory list and labelling of packages for shipping
  • Liaise with the move coordinator by following work schedules/timelines, scope of work as instructed
  • Addressing customer queries and complaints
  • Must have keen attention to detail and the ability to organize items.
  • Helping crew members with their roles when needed
  • Resolve issues between crew members when the need arises
  • Ensures that the SOP in packing, moving, dismantling & reassembling of furniture (if required), removals of goods from the residence / container, removal of debris same day of service delivery, loading / unloading of packages from/to truck, container and/or warehouse, checking the shipping containers prior to loading are strictly followed.
  • Ensure that job instructions are carried out properly and that the packing quality are as per standards - efficient and careful not to damage items

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated ability to lift, maneuver, and safely transport furniture, appliances, and heavy and delicate items.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of working within safety guidelines
  • Good communication skills

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Pull, pack, weigh, and labeling customer goods appropriately
  • Wrap furniture and items in protective material and ensure all packages are properly packaged and sealed.
  • Create and maintain moving inventory lists
  • Keep goods separated, organized, and accessible
  • Monitor packing quality and report any problems or discrepancies
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
  • Move items from one location to another
  • Set up the items in their new location
  • Answer any questions that the customer may have about the moving process
  • Ensure that no items are damaged during the moves that you work on

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Proven work experience as a Packer or similar role
  • Physically fit
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Knowledge of Cargo Packing & Loading and capable of lifting heavy objects repeatedly
  • Knowledge of Packing Materials
  • Good communication skills

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Safely transporting company staff, packing materials as well as clients’ packed goods to and from specified locations in a timely manner
  • Assisting with the loading and offloading of goods, packing materials and debris
  • Assisting with the packing (if required)
  • Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction
  • Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours
  • Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking to avoid towing
  • Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning, and vehicle maintenance
  • Picking up office purchases or other administrative needs
  • Interacting with clients in professional conduct
  • Maintaining an organized travel schedule
  • Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use
  • Arranging for vehicle repairs when necessary
  • Driving a variety of vehicles, including service van and trucks

Requirements:

  • Should have valid driver’s license (Manual)
  • Basic Mechanical Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Cargo Packing & Loading
  • Sound knowledge of road safety regulations
  • Good communication skills
